At the end of 2023, René Olde Kalter, Managing Director of the European Consulting Group (ECG) and EFG European Funding Management GmbH (EFG), will retire. Just as one phase of life ends and a new one begins for René, this also happens for ECG/EFG – because both companies are his life’s work.
Early on, René had the vision of combining consulting expertise in funding management with the development of online applications and developing the appropriate software for this.
With years of tireless dedication, he made this vision a reality. René inspired others with his ideas and created an extremely competent team with extraordinary cohesion that always strives for the best solution. This also convinced customers and is a reason for the success of ECG and EFG. The result of this many years of expertise is the standard product Eureka5 from ECG. The software can be used to quickly and reliably configure customer-specific web applications for funding management.
“We consider ourselves fortunate that since the merger of ECG and EFG with IBYKUS, significant added value has already been noticeable for our customers,” explains Thomas Winter, CEO of IBYKUS AG and sole managing director of ECG and EFG from January 2024. “Continuing René’s work is a great incentive for us and perhaps the best recognition for him.”
We say „Heel hartelijk bedankt!“ for everything that René has achieved, and wish him all the best for his retirement.
