District Centers III

STZ III
Berlin

The District Centers III (STZ III) program of the Senate Department for Integration, Labor and Social Affairs is being implemented with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national funds in the 2021-2027/-2029 funding period. Funded by the ERDF, it supports non-investment measures that serve to combat poverty through sustainable stabilization and structural development of socially disadvantaged areas in Berlin.

The planned social infrastructure should contribute to the development of civic engagement, support the social participation of people in the catchment area and develop an overall urban effect. In addition, if the establishment of new district facilities is not possible, democracy-promoting projects that provide for the active participation of citizens can be supported.

In particular, cooperation and renewal processes are to be further developed. The living conditions of the residents of the assisted areas are to be further improved and networks and partnerships are to be made possible and strengthened. Neighborhood facilities and district centers are to be created or further developed as anchor points for sustainable social stabilization in the affected areas.

The ECG provides a donation database/software (EUREKA 5.0) based on the standard software Eureka 5.0, which enables online processing. This should ensure complete online processing of grants and mapping of the examination processes for all those involved in the process.
