The Gesellschaft für Arbeits- und Wirtschaftsförderung des Freistaates Thüringen mbH (GFAW) is a regional company of the Free State of Thuringia and a subsidiary of the Thüringer Aufbaubank. The GFAW is entrusted with the implementation of tasks in the area of grants. In addition, it works as an employed administrative assistant for several Thuringian ministries.
GFAW is an important point of contact in Thuringia when it comes to implementing Thuringia’s labor market, vocational training and social policy, for example. On behalf of the currently six responsible state ministries, GFAW implements funding programs from the European Social Fund (ESF), the Free State of Thuringia and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).
Due to the large number of funding programs, the high number of applications and administrative acts to be issued in connection with a complex legal framework, holistic, web-based funding management software (standard software) is required. The software has to meet the requirements of the GDPR and the Thuringian Information Security Guideline for the state administration.
Following a Europe-wide tender, www.ecg.eu GmbH was entrusted with the provision, implementation, operational readiness and maintenance of the IT system for managing the funding programs until 2032. We are very happy about the trust that has been placed in us!
